LAST SPARK OF THE DYING CANDLE
Since early October my investor friends heard me predicting that the US Dow will soar up to $30,000 on, or before the US presidential election. Around the end of October, when Dow dropped below $27,000 - to $26,300 - one investor called me saying that it would be impossible for it to raise up to $30,000, and therefore my predictions were plainly wrong. "You better apologize to us", he said. "Wait and see", I told him. On November 2, one day before the election, the Dow was still as low as $26,800, but on November 3, the Election Day it rose to $27,500, and went on rising: on November 4 it reached $27,900; on the following day, November 5, it stood at $28,400. Its rise to $30,000 looks increasingly likely. Why is the Dow rallying up? It doesn't matter who wins - Trump or Biden - the US economy and the US dollar will no longer dominate the world.
